The Phoenix and The Crow (a play by Pragati Bhatia)
The Phoenix and the Crow is a story about two friends, a dancer and a poet. In a time undefined, in a place undiscovered, amidst wealthy merchants, warriors and dark dancers, the two friends struggle with their own demons to find their unique voice. The dancer’s pursuit of the limelight leads her to an empty victory forcing her to shed layers of her identity and go in search of something deeper. While the poet sinks deeper into the dark world of disappointment. As one rises from the ashes of failure the other is swallowed by fear and self-loathing.
